Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero May Feature a Grown Trunks and Goten

Dragon Ball Super is getting ready for its major anime comeback in 2022. The next feature-length film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is set to debut in Japan next spring, and according to a new rumor, the highly-anticipated anime film will feature two grown-up heroes.

The report recently surfaced after outlets like DBSHype shared some interesting details. The official website of Dragon Ball Suer: Super Hero recently shared an update to its cast list, and it revealed that Takeshi Kusao was added to the cast.

For those unfamiliar, Kusao is the voice of both Kid Trunks and Future Trunks. Toei Animation hasn't officially confirmed the appearance of either version of Trunks, but fans are expecting that Trunks from the main timeline will show up. Since Pan and Gohan are confirmed to appear in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, it just makes sense that Vegeta's son will also appear, and Goten will most likely show up as well since he's the best friend of Trunks.

Although the official trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero didn't confirm the appearance of Trunks and Goten, with this casting news, it's likely that the duo will appear in the movie, and it will likely feature grown-up looks at the characters. If both of them are confirmed to appear, it would be exciting to see them fuse into Gotenks once again, but it's likely that their roles in the movie's story won't be as major as Gohan and Piccolo.
