Dragon Ball Super Shares New Shintani-Style Artwork


Following the events of the Tournament of Power in the Dragon Ball Super anime series, the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie featured a brand new art style from the animation director and character designer of the film, Naohiro Shintani. Fans praised Shintani's bright aesthetic, and it looks like the artist's style is finding its way to other parts of Akira Toriyama's popular shonen franchise, giving us a fresh look at some familiar Saiyan characters.

The Super Dragon Ball Heroes images revealed the new character designs in the art style of Naohiro Shintani, and it gives us a fresh look at King Vegeta, Bardock, and Paragus, who were all featured in Dragon Ball Super: Broly.

Twitter outlet DBS Hype shared this new image of Bardock, King Vegeta and Paragas. The latter two characters haven't appeared in the Dragon Ball Super franchise in a while, but Bardock was recently introduced in the Granolah the Survivor Arc of the Dragon Ball Super manga series. The spin-off series Super Dragon Ball Heroes has yet to confirm if these three characters will be back in the franchise.

These three Saiyans have already appeared in Dragon Ball Heroes, but it's still unclear if they will return to the spin-off series in 2022. The series is currently focused on a new villain who looks like a doppelganger of the Supreme Kai of Time. We're also not sure if they will appear in a flashback in Dragon Ball Super anytime soon.
