Dragon Ball Super Reveals Its New Villain's Overwhelming Power

Toei Animation

Dragon Ball Super's

new arc after the events of

Dragon Ball Super: Broly

is introducing a new powerful villain named Maro and now, we know how dangerous he really is.

The latest chapter of the

Dragon Ball Super

manga continues the

Galactic Prisoner

arc and introduced Planet Eater Moro, a powerful villain who can devour the life force of entire planets and use it to increase his own strength. Chapter 43 starts with a flashback explaining why the Galactic Patrol needed Majin Buu. Planet Eater Moro, who battled Daikaioh (who Buu absorbed before the events of the Majin Buu arc) appears to be a sorcerer who can unleash massive meteors. Moro is seen pointing his hand toward a nearby planet and gathers energy from it similar to how Goku does to form the Spirit Bomb but instead of using it for an attack, he consumes the life force to enhance his strength so he can launch a powerful lightning attack. The chapter reveals that Moro has destroyed 320 planets this way before, and is only taken down after Daikaioh performs a dangerous technique that seals his Magic.

According to Merus of the Galactic Patrol, Moro was a capable fighter even without magic, and he even survived a death penalty for ten million years but they suspect that he gained his magic back. The end of the chapter shows Goku searching for Moro's ki and finds him in an isolated area but when he makes contact, Moro senses Goku as well and Goku appears to be taken aback by how powerful Moro's aura is.

Then one day, Goku and Vegeta are faced by a Saiyan called 'Broly' who they've never seen before. The Saiyans were supposed to have been almost completely wiped out in the destruction of Planet Vegeta, so what's this one doing on Earth?
