Dragon Ball Super Manga Spoilers Tease A Problem With The Super Saiyan Transformation

Toei Animation

Warning: Spoilers from the latest Dragon Ball Super chapter below.

Chapter 45 of Dragon Ball Super manga has been released in Japan, and it continues the intense fight between Vegeta and the new villain, Moro (You can read my review of Chapter 44 here) The highly-anticipated chapter shows off more of the ancient sorcerer's power against the Prince of Saiyans, and it looks like Moro has the power of dark magic that rivals even the power of the Gods of Destruction.

Over on Twitter Cipher_db has shared a leak of the latest chapter reveals a powerful effect of Moro's sorcery: a disruption of the Super Saiyan transformation.

Check out the image below as it shows Vegeta unable to transform into Super Saiyan.

At his base form, Vegeta has no chance at beating Moro. This probably the result of Moro's energy-absorbing power. The villain is known for draining the life force of entire planets so this isn't surprising.

At this point, it's hard to say how Goku and Vegeta will defeat the powerful villain but it's likely that Goku will step in to fight him in the next chapter.

Here's the reported synopsis of the Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc:

"Shortly after the ToP and the events of DBS: Broly, Goku and Vegeta are training together when Bulma passes along a message from Mister Satan that a mysterious group has appeared at his house and is attempting to kidnap Buu. Goku and Vegeta go to investigate and indeed find a group loading the (still sleeping) Buu into a familiar-looking spaceship."

Dragon Ball Super: Broly is now showing in select theaters. It will be available on April 16, 2019, with the tagline: "Bring home the box office berserker!"
