Dragon Ball Super Cast Reveals Whether Beerus & Whis Are Gay

Beerus and Whis are two of Dragon Ball Super's interesting additions to the franchise, but some fans are questioning the true nature of their relationship. Because of Whis' feminine personality, it's easy to assume that he's gay, but two of the anime cast members don't see it that way.

At New York Comic-Con, the English dub cast showed up for the anime's first-ever panel at the event, and they include Sean Schemmel,Monica Rial, Jason Douglas, and Ian Sinclair to talk about their characters. When a fan asked Sinclair and Douglas if Whis and Beerus will develop a romantic relationship, their answer was clear.

As Fandom reports, Sinclair and Douglas said that they don't see Whis and Beerus becoming a gay couple in the anime. Sinclair said that his characters sees Beerus more like he would a house pet. According to the voice actor, he speaks to Beerus as if he were talking to a very sassy cat.

I've never really seen them as gay characters. Besides, they're more interested with food from Earth than sex. Maybe some weird fan-made hentai art would make that possible but not in Akira Toriyama's world.

Dragon Ball Super is set to air on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami still airs the English dub of Dragon Ball Super on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
