Dragon Ball Super: Broly Will Explore Never-Before-Seen Parts of Planet Vegeta

Dragon Ball Super: Broly is one of the more interesting movies from the series, bringing a villain to the main canon for the first time and actually exploring Saiyan heritage. It's also set after the Tournament of Power, so fans are hoping that we get a new series or more canon movies once this proves to be a success.

With the talk of Saiyans and their origins, fans have theorized that the few locations we've seen in the trailer are actually set in Planet Vegeta. Turns out those theories are correct as the official Dragon Ball movie website has confirmed (via Herms 98) that we will see never-before-seen parts of Planet Vegeta, which is exciting.

Planet Vegeta is actually a place we never got to see in the main series since Freeza blew it up after hearing about the Super Saiyan prophecy. Seeing this planet for the first time instantly makes this a must watch for fans of the series, even if it means Dragon Ball Minus is going to be canon (ugh).

How Broly fits into this equation is the most tantalizing aspect of the movie. The Super manga has actually done a great job at adding the Legendary Super Saiyan state as part of the lore, claiming that it comes every 1000 years. This was for Kale though, so the explanation for why Broly gets this form and how it can keep up with Super Saiyan Blue has everyone's attention.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly comes out on December 14 in Japan. The Americas will be getting it in January.
