Dragon Ball Super: Broly Gets Novel Adaptation

It's still a long wait for the premiere on Dragon Ball Super: Broly but fans who can't wait until January can try getting the film's novelization this December.

The official novel adaptation of Dragon Ball Super: Broly has been listed on Amazon Japan and is currently available for pre-order. The book will retail for ¥734 ($6.50) and will be released on December 14.

The synopsis for the DBS:B novelization reads as follows:

"Earth is at peace following the Tournament of Power. Realizing that the universes still hold many strong people yet to see, Goku spends all his days training to reach even greater heights. Then, one day, Goku and Vegeta are faced by a Saiyan named "Broli" [sic] who they have never seen before. The Saiyans were supposed to have almost completely wiped out in the destruction of Planet Vegeta, so what is this one doing on Earth? This encounter between three Saiyans who have followed completely different destinies turns into a stupendous battle, with even Freeza (back from Hell) getting caught up in the mix."

It's interesting that Freeza is once again mentioned in the description. A leaked synopsis of the film has previously revealed that Broly and his father Paragus will be recruited into the Freeza Force.

The novelization was written by Masatoshi Kusakabe and is being published by JUMOP jBOOKS. The book will be released on the same day that Dragon Ball Super: Broly hits theaters in Japan.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly will premiere in Japan on December 14 and in North America on January 16, 2019.
