Fans of Dragon Ball Super: Broly were both happy and sad when it was announced that Gogeta would be in the movie. Happy because the fusion of Goku and Vegeta through fusion dance is finally canon, after previously appearing in the non-canon (but super fun) Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn. Sad because the moment of Goku and Vegeta becoming Gogeta has been spoiled, making the moment feel less special now that it's all over the advertising.
Vegeta doesn't think you should feel that way though. Well, Christopher Sabat, the voice of Vegeta and a number of other characters from Dragon Ball, doesn't think you should feel that way.
Speaking with ComicBook.com, Sabat said that he understood why fans feel disappointed since the surprise was basically shown to everyone. However, the veteran voice actor feels that it will still be a moment fans will mark out for, similar to how Spider-Man was revealed in Captain America: Civil War. Yeah, fans were disappointed that Marvel Studios went ahead and showed Spider-Man in the movie but the moment was still cool and he was a part of the film's best moments.
"A lot of people were disappointed when it was revealed that Gogeta was going to be in the movie. … It is like knowing Spider-Man is going to be in a Marvel movie. You know he is going to be there, but the moment you see him, you are filled with this juicy, awesome nerdy feeling of seeing it. You can know it is going to happen but experiencing it when it is actually on the screen will actually probably make you cry."
With some backstory on the Saiyan race and Broly looking cooler than ever, there is still a lot to be excited about with Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The movie is also prettier than a K-Pop artist and could feature some of the franchise's best fights. Seriously, Gogeta vs Broly looks pretty rad.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly comes out this week on January 16.
