Dragon Ball FighterZ: Nappa and Captain Ginyu Join The Roster

After revealing Tien-shinhan and Yamcha, fans were wondering who else would be a part of Dragon Ball FighterZ. The game is scheduled for a February 2018 release and it looks like the game can still have a few more members join the roster. Thankfully, the latest issue of Japanese magazine V-Jump (via Shoryuken) has revealed the latest fighters coming to the game: Captain Ginyu and Nappa.

Nappa was Vegeta's henchman during the Saiyan Saga and was one of the toughest foes the Z-Fighters faced at that point in time. Tien, Chiaotzu, and Piccolo died fighting the Saiyan, with only Son Goku managing to take him down in a rather easy manner. It seems like Nappa will be one of the game's heavier characters and will have the ability to summon Saibamen for help.

Captain Ginyu was also a formidable foe during the Planet Namek/FreezaSaga. He was the leader the Ginyu Force and had the ability to switch bodies with his foes, which he was able to do to Son Goku in the show. Ginyu will have this ability in the game, which will be really useful when the player is low on health. He will also be able to summon the Ginyu Force to assist him in combos, similar to how Tien summons Chiaotzu or how Android 17 assists Android 18.

Dragon Ball FighterZ comes out in Japan on February 1, 2018. The game will come to the rest of the world in that month as well, though no release date has been revealed. FighterZ will be playable on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
