There is no doubt that the cast of the beloved Harry Potter series had stayed close in contact with one another, especially when it comes to being in unity in their reunion special, Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts in 2022, and in sharing their condolences and memories with Hagrid’s actor Robbie Coltrane to pay tribute to his recent passing. Meanwhile, Tom Felton has been gaining more screen time in promotion of his memoir, Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard, and has shared a couple of behind the scenes while working on Harry Potter. Some of them include Rowling’s rare appearance on set, how he used to tease young Emma Watson, and now, his grown fondness for his on-screen enemy, Daniel Radcliffe. Watch the story below:
“I love the man very dearly. I don’t see him as much as I’d like to, that goes the same for all of us, really. But I consider him my brother, definitely. Huge amounts of respect for him… Daniel brings a certain energy to any room that he’s in, but it was important to me, looking back, how important his enthusiasm and his eventual professionalism runs down the ranks, if you will. He could’ve very much easily, I think, coasted a lot of those years, and it seemed to me, on set with him, he was always up for bringing as much as he can to the table, always being collaborative, and I think he learned that the same way that I did, from the other chaps around us.”
Contrary to the characters the actors played, namely, Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) and Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), the two seem to be keeping in contact despite their busy schedules. There is no doubt that growing up on set together had been their strongest foundation in maintaining their friendship even up until now in their separate careers.
