Dr. Romantic 3 episode 3 showcases an unexpected situation between Han Suk Kyu and the season’s antagonist, Lee Kyung Young.
The weekend K-drama depicts the story of a legendary surgeon named Kim Sa Bu, played by Han Suk Kyu, who chose to leave his city based career and move to a shabby countryside hospital called Doldam.
Interestingly, this is where he met newbie doctors like Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin in season 2 and Lee Sung Kyung and Ahn Hyo Seop in seasons 2 and 3.
Dr. Romantic 3 Viewership
After hitting an all time high for episode 2, the weekend K-drama experienced a slight drop in viewership.
As cited by Soompi, Dr. Romantic 3 episode 3, garnered an average nationwide rating of 13.5 percent. It is a minimal decrease from its previous episode of 13.8 percent.
Despite the downturn in viewership, the SBS K-drama remained the most-watched program of the entire day and took the number one spot in its time slot across all channels.

In the episode titled Putting an Elephant in a Fridge, Kim Sa Bu faces a tough decision involving his passion project, the trauma center.
To recall, the second season revealed that one of his lifelong dreams is to establish a trauma center that could help the patients, especially those who are severely sick.
As the third episode began, director Park Min Guk called Dr. Cha Jin Man to consider his offer to work at Doldam’s trauma center.
He said that he will only agree if Kim Sa Bu withdraws his intention to lead the trauma center.
Initially, Director Park disliked the idea of opening the trauma center without Kim Sa Bu, but the legendary doctor insisted that the director needed to give what Dr. Cha wanted.
With this, Dr. Cha confirmed his intention to lead the soon-to-open center.
This raises the question of whether the new head will establish a new team or hire staff from Doldam.
On the other hand, one of the highlights in Dr. Romantic 3 episode 3, is treating a national athlete after an accident during his training.
However, upon checking, Seo Woo Jin found out that the patient was faking his illness and recommended discharge from the hospital.
Jang Dong Hwa, one of the new doctors at Doldam, advised his senior, Seo Woo Jin, to let the patient rest for a while since stress and anxiety are also considered mental illnesses.
Unfortuantely, Seo Woo Jin ditched the idea and says that they need to focus more on patients who truly need their help.

Hours after the incident, they received an emergency call that an athlete had injured his legs during ski training.
Seo Woo Jin was surprised to see that it was the patient that he sent home after faking his condition.
The patient was badly ill and needed surgery as soon as possible.
At this point, Seo Woo Jin felt guilty and hoped for the best that the surgery would turn out well.
On the other hand, Jang Dong Hwa was disappointed in Seo Woo Jin for ignoring his recommendation, and as a result, the athlete suffered massive injury.
In the last part of the third episode, an intense face off occurred between Kim Sa Bu and Cha Jin Man.
Dr. Cha believed that Kim Sa Bu’s team might not pull off the surgery, but Teacher Kim is eager to prove him wrong and determined to show how talented the Doldam staff are.
