We never really expected it, but Michael Bay is producing a Dora the Explorer movie, and it's set to come out later this year. Now we have a look at the first poster for the film, and it reveals that it's not titled Dora the Explorer at all.

Having spent most of her life exploring the jungle with her parents, nothing could prepare Dora for her most dangerous adventure ever: high school. Always the explorer, Dora quickly finds herself leading Boots, Diego, a mysterious jungle inhabitant, and a ragtag group of teens on a live-action adventure to save her parents and solve the impossible mystery behind a lost Inca civilization.

The poster confirms that Dora's sidekick Boots is going to be part of the adventure, but we don't really know how animated the animals in this film are going to be. With the original cartoon made for really young kids, I'm curious to see how the film ages up the story a bit to make it more fun for the whole family.

The film stars Isabela Moner who has actually worked with Bay in his latest Transformer flick, The Last Knight. The movie also includes the likes of Eva Longoria, Temuera Morrison, and Michael Pena. Benecio del Toro is also attached to the film as the voice of Swiper the Fox. Jeffrey Wahlberg is also playing the role of Dora's cousin, Diego.

Catch Dora and the Lost City of Gold when it hits theaters Aug. 2.
