Warner Brothers has been pretty busy preparing the material for its DC Universe streaming platform, and the studio's been working on the production for the site's very first spinoff series, Doom Patrol.
Now, as the studio continues production on the series, it looks like the very first photos of the different members of Doom Patrol have made its way online and in it, we get to see a better look at Brendan Fraser's Robotman. Robotman is going to have a more prominent role in the series, and it looks like DC's been making an effort creating a practical costume for the character.
Check out the photos down here:
While there's been a lot of excitement over Fraser's casting, The Mummy franchise star won't be playing the character underneath the funky suit, though he will provide the voice for the character. Word also has it that Fraser will play the human form of Robotman in the series. According to the rumors that have been circulating online, Fraser will get to play Cliff Steel in Doom Patrol's flashback sequences.
For those who aren't quite familiar with the name Doom Patrol, the DC superhero team first appeared in My Greatest Adventure #80 and has had multiple incarnations over the years. However, the original team had Robotman, The Chief (Niles Caulder), Negative Man (Larry Trainor) and Elasti-Girl (Rita Farr) as its misfit members.
The Doom Patrol series doesn't have a release date yet but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
