Sein is a skilled priest and a key member of Frieren’s party. However, he left the party quite early, and now, fans wonder if Sein will ever come back in Frieren.

Why Did Sein Leave Frieren’s Party?
Episode 17 of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End showcases Sein opting to embark on a different journey in pursuit of finding his best friend, Gorilla Warrior.
Earlier, Sein revealed his mission to reunite with his best friend, who left on a journey 10 years ago.
Displaying a mage-captured image of them, Sein shared that numerous eyewitnesses along the way have pointed them north, assuming Frieren that they will be on the right track as long as they keep going.
Later, Frieren inquired about Gorilla Warrior’s whereabouts, and Sein disclosed that he headed to Tür, a trade-centric town in the Northern Lands.
Frieren observed that this was opposite to the planned direction toward Äußerst, leaving Sein uncertain about the next course of action.
Amid deliberations, Sein explained to Frieren that finding Gorilla Warrior motivated his journey.
Finally, after spending some more time with Frieren, Fern, Stark, and the others, Sein decided to look for his best friend to avoid regrets.
After bidding farewell, Sein reflected on the solitude of solo travel, while Stark observed the ease of parting ways.
Frieren reassured that as an adult, Sein will be fine. The two parties then went on their separate ways.

Does Sein Come Back in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End? Theories Explored
As of writing, Sein has not made a comeback in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
Sein seems to give the impression of a transient character who joins briefly and was seemingly intended to be just that.
With his goal to find Gorilla Warrior, he doesn’t perfectly align with Frieren’s party, and his departure after only a few chapters and episodes suggests Sein might be just a momentary companion.
In the manga, Sein left in Chapter 35, and it has been close to two years since he has been away.
Kanehito Yamada, the author of the manga, might bring back Sein at some point in the story because he is such a lovable character with a beautiful backstory.
But for now, we will have to wait for Sein’s return in the story. It will be interesting to see him reconnect with Frieren’s party for future adventures.
