Netflix's newly released film, Slumberland, quickly rose to the ranks after being released last week. The children's fantasy film is about a young girl named Nemo (played by Marlow Barkley) who goes on an adventure in the dream world, hoping to reunite with her father (played by Kyle Chandler).

The film is based on a comic strip by Winsor McCay entitled Little Nemo in Slumberland. After watching the film, many can't help but ask whether Nemo meets her dad again in Slumberland. And we've got the answers. But be warned, spoilers are up ahead in this article.

A young orphan, named Nemo, goes on an a journey in Slumberland (the land of dreams) hoping to find a pearl that will reconnect her with her dad who loses his life while out in the sea in the middle of a storm.

Nemo is forced to move to the city with her dad's younger brother, Philip (played by Chris O'Dowd). Now that her life has turned upside down, she discovers a new dream realm when she sleeps at night.

Nemo discovers a new friend named Flip (played by Jason Momoa) in Slumberland, who used to be her dad's partner. Together, they hunt for magic pearls that grant its holder a wish.

Does Nemo Meet Her Dad in Slumberland?

At the ending of Slumberland, we discover the real identity of Flip and how Nemo ultimately sacrifices her pearl to help him out. After saving Flip, Agent Green (played by Weruche Opia) tells Nemo to squeeze her stuffed pig. As it turns out, the pig had swallowed another pearl and Nemo uses this to see her dad once more.

In an emotional turn of events, Peter (played by Kyle Chandler) tells his daughter to let go of the past and continue living a life with her Uncle Philip.

So, yes, in the ending, Nemo does meet her dad in the movie. But it's an emotional goodbye since Peter is no longer alive in the waking world.

Is Slumberland Worth Watching?

Yes, Slumberland is worth watching especially if you have young kids at home. It's an emotional movie filled with adventures that both young kids and adults will enjoy watching together.
