Does Juliette Have Powers in First Kill?

First Kill is the Netflix original series about star-crossed lovers Juliette and Calliope. Juliette is from a long-line of legacy vampires, while Calliope is from a prominent family of monster hunters. As they struggle with finding their place in their families and understanding their love for each other, we get to know these unique characters even more.

We see both Juliette and Calliope grow as individuals, but one pressing question we have is - does Juliette get to have powers?

In First Kill, Juliette and her family are Legacy Vampires. Legacy vampires are a superior kind because they are born and not made, and they also have abilities that are very similar to humans. Legacies are not affected by the sun, they can eat human food, and they can create other Legacy vampires.

Legacy vampires have their own culture and their own community, holding their own consecration celebrations, vampire cotillions, and ceremonies on the first full moon. Being a part of this super-exclusive club has a lot of useful perks. Wooden stakes can't kill legacies, and their blood can paralyze their prey.

Does Juliette Have Powers?

There have been theories, but it is till unconfirmed whether or not Juliette has powers.

Legacy vampires have abilities that don't end there-when a Legacy vampire bites, someone, they create a psychic connection that should be severed.

When Juliette bit Calliope, they established a psychic connection that seemed to have been sustained. Many fans are claiming that this event was a manifestation of Juliette's powers- being able to build a bond with the people she cares for.

Other theories suggest that Juliette has the ability to see the future through her dreams after she dreams of an impassioned encounter with Calliope, even before she meets her.

Whether or not these dreams are proof of her powers, we still do not know.
