Of the entire Doctor Who series run, the Time Lord has had a huge history of bringing his human companions with him on the TARDIS, but did he ever fall in love with them? Surely he did. At some point. Does Doctor Who end up with anyone in the series? Let's find out.
Doctor Who's Many Past Companions
The early Doctors, past the 2005 time of the series run, technically had been involved with their explicit love interests on the show.
Specifically, the First Doctor had had his own marriage, as implied when the Tenth Doctor commented at one point, "I'm rubbish at weddings - especially my own."
But if we're looking into something more evident, it's most definitely when Doctor Who and Rose Tyler got together. Specifically, with the Tenth Doctor.
Aside from the chemistry they shared, Rose was the longest companion to have run alongside her Doctor - two versions at that.
There was also River Song, whose first meeting with the Tenth Doctor was during the time he had forgotten his memory of her. At the time, River knew that they would get married in the future.
At one point, the Doctor even became an item with Marilyn Monroe, though the breakup wasn't exactly indicated.
Love and romance never seem to be the things the Doctor would ever look for. As he is commonly portrayed to be the eccentric passing Time Lord, his priorities always lie in discovering the answer to the mysteries he finds.
The Doctor is more often than not pursued by the ladies he ends up meeting on his journey with the TARDIS, specifically with Martha Jones, Amy Pond, and Yasmin Khan, when they were entirely attracted by the Time Lord's charm and wit. Although, both remained one-sided.
Now, the question is, will the Doctor end up with anyone in the series?

Will the Doctor End Up With Anyone in the Series?
It remains to be seen if the Doctor will still have future love interests along his journey, but given how the series extended the Time Lord's life span, it's a huge possibility.
See, the Doctor is only supposed to regenerate at least around 12 times, but when Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor came into view, the BBC show addressed this little plothole by granting him a new set of lives.
Though it wasn't clear just how many regenerations the Doctor is allowed to do, thus far, we are on our Fourteenth Doctor, aka the return of David Tennant's The Tenth Doctor.
This could imply that the 'new' lives gift could possibly mean 12 more regenerations, which means a longer series, starting off with the renewal via Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth Doctor.
As for when the Doctor could possibly settle down is but a question that could only be answered when the series actually thinks of ending.
For now, though, we'll have to wait once the Fifteenth Doctor starts a brand new season after the 60th Anniversary Special airs.
