Doctor Who Will Stream Exclusively on HBO Max

It looks like HBO realized that Game of Thrones and Doom Patrol wouldn't be enough to compete with the likes of Netflix and Disney so they decided to add another well-known franchise to the mix; Doctor Who. That's right, the beloved BBC series will be streamed exclusively in the upcoming HBO Max streaming service, which is great for those Whovians who have wanted this show to stream.

HBO Max won't be skimming fans on Who content either, as all 11 seasons of the show will be available to stream. As if that wasn't enough to get people pumped, all 11 seasons will be a part of the streaming service's launch so fans will be able to start streaming the service right away for their Doctor Who content.

Kevin Reilly, the Chief Content Manager of HBO Max, had this to say about getting the license:

"Doctor Who is one of television's all-time, most beloved series, on both sides of the pond, and we are happy to be the exclusive streaming stewards for this BBC gem. Another series to further define the high-quality content experience consumers can expect from HBO Max."

Currently, HBO Max is planned for a 2020 release, though no official date has been given. Will Doctor Who be enough for you to purchase the streaming service? Or will you be sticking with Netflix?
