Doctor Who: Thirteenth Doctor Will Lose 2 Companions After Holiday Special

The Thirteenth Doctor has been working with three companions for the past two seasons of Doctor Who. However, it looks like that number will be reduced to just one companion by the end of the upcoming Holiday Special.

BBC has confirmed that Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole will be leaving after Doctor Who Season 13. Their final appearance will be in the Holiday Special Revolution of the Daleks.

Walsh, who plays Graham O'Brien in the series, shared a statement about his departure and made it clear that he enjoyed working with Cole, Mandip Gill, and Jodie Whittaker.

"There are some very moving movements in the show and working with Jodie, Mandip, and Tosin is a dream come true," Walsh said. "They are all so, so talented people and all the crew too."

Cole also admitted that he found his final scenes "very emotional."

"It is very, very dramatic. It is very sad. It is quite sad and poignant is the word. You can expect a lot of poignancy from the episode." Cole said "Emotional! I was looking forward to having a rest though!"

Whittaker is understandably sad that she would have to say goodbye to her co-stars. Interestingly, she revealed that she cried so much that Walsh and Cole had to help her.

"On a personal note, absolutely devasted! Both of them had to carry me to my trailer, I haven't cried like that for such a long time. Brad couldn't cope with it at all! Tosin was like 'I really can't cope with you getting this upset'," Whittaker said.

Although the Thirteenth Doctor is losing two companions in the Holiday Special, the Time Lord will also be reunited with another companion who just happens to be a fan-favorite. It has been confirmed that John Barrowman will return as Captain Jack Harkness in the same episode.

The Doctor Who Holiday Special Revolution of the Daleks will air on BBC and BBC America on New Year's Day.
