Doctor Who Series 13 just dropped a trailer and it confirms that the new season will premiere later this year. In addition to that, we have our first look at former Game of Thrones star Jacob Anderson in the show's return.

The Doctor Who Season 13 trailer confirms that the Thirteenth Doctor is getting a new Companion after Ryan (Tosin Cole) and Graham O'Brien (Bradley Walsh) left in the previous Holiday Special. She casually introduces herself then Yaz (Mandip Gill) and the new Companion Dan (John Bishop).

It's immediately clear that Dan is still adjusting to his new role while Yaz is already comfortable with all the nuances of being a Companion. At one point, he painfully drops in as she is working on something and Yaz just casually says, "Hiya" to him.

Dan isn't the only new character we will be meeting in Doctor Who Season 13. We also had a glimpse at Anderson's character Vinder who could be a huge help to the Doctor.

The trailer was shared during the Doctor Who panel at Comic-Con, which was attended by Gill, Bishop, Jodie Whittaker and executive producer Chris Chibnall. Anderson joined them virtually as the surprise guest.

The best thing about the trailer is that it confirms that Doctor Who Season 13 will premiere in late 2021. Although the release date was not revealed, there is a huge possibility that it will air sometime in November and the Holiday Special will be dropped on New Year's Day. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
