Doctor Strange Welcomes Spider-Man to [SPOILERS] in No Way Home Set Photo

We already know that Doctor Strange will be working closely with Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home. After all, the Sorceror Supreme is set to be Spidey's new mentor. So it shouldn't be a huge surprise that Stephen Strange is welcoming Peter into a magical location in an awesome photo taken from the set of Spider-Man 3.

Today is Spider-Man Day and although we didn't get an official update from the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe flick, a fan was eager to share an image taken from the No Way Home set to celebrate.

The photo actually features Doctor Strange standing in front of the Sanctum Santorum and he appears to be greeting Spider-Man across him. It's a simple picture but it is strongly suggested that this could be an important meeting.

Although it is unclear what is happening in the scene, there are speculations that this takes place early in Spider-Man 3. It is believed that this takes place directly after Spider-Man's identity is revealed and Peter has decided to reach out to Doctor Strange for help.

In the post-credits scene for Spider-Man: Far From Home, Mysterio frames Peter for the drone attack and reveals that Peter is Spider-Man. This is reported by J. Jonah Jameson on national TV which means everyone now knows about Peter. It's a difficult situation and one that might require the skills of someone who can turn back time.

This could explain why Peter is reaching out to Doctor Strange in the photo. However, it is important to point out that details about Spider-Man 3 have not yet been revealed. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will star Tom Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch as Peter Parker and Stephen Strange, respectively. The film is scheduled for release on December 17, 2021.
