There's no doubt in everyone's minds that Doctor Strange will be one of the major players in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's fourth phase and after making his presence felt in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the Master of the Mystic Arts is set to dive into the multiverse in the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel. Turns out, No Way Home is just the tip of the iceberg and all the mayhem will ensue in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which is dubbed as Marvel Studios' first "horror" flick.

Now, we still know very little about the film top-billed by Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen but if you've already seen No Way Home's post-credits scene which also happens to be the official first teaser for the film, then you probably have an idea of just how crazy things are going to get.

While we wait for it to make its way online (officially, that is), it looks like Marvel Studios has already kickstarted its promotion for the project which hits cinemas next year. In fact, toy company Hasbro has already unveiled its Multiverse of Madness wave which contains major spoilers about the film.

Turns out, Cumberbatch will be donning a new costume in the film and will be dubbed "Defender Strange". The overall look of the new suit may seem odd to some but followers of the comics are familiar with the costume which is most likely a reference to what he wore at one point as part of the Defenders.

Considering the film takes place in the multiverse, it would be safe to assume that Strange and potentially Wanda will be battling all sorts of threats and him donning an upgraded suit may actually come in handy.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently scheduled for release on May 6, 2022.
