Various film critics might have given stellar reviews for Doctor Strange when the film released back in 2016, but now it looks like Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme is getting a special review from an actual physician, this time for the medical accuracy of the movie.
Going over the medical details in Marvel’s Doctor Strange standalone, Dr. Hope’s Sick Notes decided to review the accuracy related to the film, posting a new video on his YouTube channel. Not only does the doctor review the accuracy of the procedures and the medical Jargon in the film, but he also breaks down what these esoteric terms mean to laymen.
“As a huge geek, I thought it time I break down the medical scenes from the Marvel movie Doctor Strange from a real doctor's perspective! I'll explain how accurate it is, a bit more about what's happening on screen and share some of my experiences too!” Dr. Hope wrote in his description of the video review.
Check out the video review down here:
The video is pretty detailed with Dr. Hope going through all the medical details including Stephen Strange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) preparation methods before going through a surgical procedure. It’s a pretty fascinating video, and it’s interesting to see which parts Doctor Strange gets right, and which parts the film gets it wrong.
Meanwhile, in other Doctor Strange news, Cumberbatch is set to reprise his role as the Sorcerer Supreme in the second installment in Joe and Anthony Russos’ two-part Avengers movie, Avengers: Endgame. Seeing how he was dusted by Thanos along with many other Avengers in Avengers: Infinity War, fans wonder just how Doctor Strange will return, though many suspect that Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans) and the rest of the remaining heroes will use the Quantum Realm to undo the Mad Titan’s massacre.
Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
