Doctor Strange 2: New Trailer Unveils Savage Land, A Location Tied to X-Men Villain Magneto

Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness's new trailer just unraveled a lot of information for the fans. Including an evil Wanda variant, Ultron robots, and the mind-blowing hint of Patrick Stewart’s Professor X. But there are still a few details that only comic book fans will spot, one of them is the ‘Savage Land.’

In the new trailer, we saw Strange falling off into a forest, which is rumored to be ‘Savage Land’ in Marvel Comics. Savage Land is an X-Men-centered location, specifically Magneto. Magneto has used the forest to hide and use it as the base of operations until the X-Men captured him and revealed the forest to the world.

Savage land was created by the disciple of The Beyonders and was home to different unknown tribes and dinosaurs. It’s also the home of one fan-favorite character in Marvel Comics, Ka-Zar.

Though we don't have any confirmations yet about Savage Land, this might be a good opportunity for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to introduce the X-Men. Since Patrick’s Stewart is already confirmed for the Multiverse of Madness, it means we can expect other X-Men mutant’s appearances in the Doctor Strange sequel or any future films in the MCU.

Savage Land is mostly known as a location tied to X-Men villain Magneto, however, we still don't have any information on whether Ian McKellen or Michael Fassbender is reported to reprise their roles. Rumors are circulating the internet that Multiverse of Madness will feature a lot of different character cameos that will break records in the history of Marvel. These characters will be from Marvel’s different franchise that includes The Fantastic Four, Tobey Maguire’s Spiderman, and of course, The-Xmen, which we are sure will be joined by the main villain, Magneto.

Magneto is widely known for antagonizing the X-Men not just in the films, but also in Marvel Comics. So if Marvel will be introducing X-Men to the MCU, we can expect to see Magneto for sure.

Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness is one of the most highly-anticipated films of 2022 following Spiderman: No Way Home. The film will premier on May 6, 2022.
