Doctor Strange 2's First 20 Minutes Unveiled During CinemaCon

WARNING: The article contains spoilers about the first 20 minutes of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Read at your own risk.

We're now just a week away before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters and fans have been looking forward to seeing the surprises that Marvel has in store for fans as they are trying to keep guard of all the secrets that are under wraps.

However, attendees of the Disney presentation at the CinemaCon event in Las Vegas were able to see the first 20 minutes of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which was presented by Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige. While the footage wasn't obviously released to the public, there were members of the press in the audience who were able to report on what they saw in the film's first 20 minutes.

According to ComicBook.com, the film started with Defender Strange and America Chavez as they were running away from a creature although they were struggling on defeating it. Defender Strange decided to steal the powers away from America in order to save the multiverse. Suddenly, the MCU's Doctor Strange wakes up on his bed from a "nightmare" and then he proceeded to attend Christine Palmer's wedding.

Doctor Strange is seen grappling with the things that he lost when he was blipped including Christine, who is marrying someone else. They also had a brief conversation as a reconciliation of their past relationship. Soon after, he encounters America who is being chased by the Gargantos in the streets. Wong joined as well and a fight ensued with the monster ended up being defeated.

After the battle, America explained to Doctor Strange that his dreams are actually visions from the other universes. There was also a brief joke about Spider-Man where America said that she has no idea who he is. The three decided to work together and proceed to Kamar-Taj. America also pointed out that she is after the Book of Vishanti.

The next scene involves Wanda Maximoff where we see her having a moment with her "kids" Tommy and Billy from WandaVision showing that she misses them a lot and then it transformed into the cherry tree blossom farm that we saw in the trailer. Doctor Strange showed up to ask for help from Wanda as he knows that she is the only Avenger who is familiar with the Multiverse. Unfortunately, this is where the preview ends.

Based on these details, it looks like the first 20 minutes were jam-packed already and didn't waste any time in establishing the plot, characters, and the conflict that they have to face. The attendees also mentioned that director Sam Raimi's infamous camera styles were used a lot in the action sequences.

While the footage wasn't spoiler-heavy since most of them were in the trailers, it still promises a bonkers adventure for the main characters and it should add excitement to the fans who have been waiting to see the film. Fortunately, we don't have to wait any longer.
