It looks like the Sorcerer Supreme will be getting some interesting company next year. New casting news for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness suggests that Brother Voodoo will be joining Benedict Cumberbatch in the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.

The news comes from The Illuminerdi which reveals that Doctor Strange 2 is currently looking for someone to take on a supporting role.

"He's described as a supporting male lead who is of Caribbean descent, and Haiti is specifically mentioned as a nation tied to the character. It's also been noted that the character shouldn't necessarily feel American, although the role is still potentially open to African-American actors," the report reads.

It doesn't exactly specify who this character will be but the report points out that there is one particular Haitian character who is already connected to Doctor Strange. In the comics, Jericho Drumm is a psychologist who goes back to his native Haiti following his brother's death and becomes a voodoo sorcerer. Needless to say, there is a huge chance we'll be seeing Brother Voodoo joining the MCU soon.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness recently lost director Scott Derrickson. Marvel Studios has yet to announce the new director of the sequel.
