Doctor Strange 2: Bruce Campbell Reveals Last-Minute Changes Were Made in the Upcoming Sequel

We're now getting closer to the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in theaters and it is an understatement to say that fans have been very excited about it, especially with the all the rumors and whispers regarding the surprise characters that might show up in the film and how it might also change the course of the franchise moving forward. As we are patiently waiting to see the film in its full glory, we're starting to hear more interesting information including one recently from one of its actors.

During an interview with the Game Informer YouTube channel, Bruce Campbell, who is expected to make an appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, revealed some interesting behind-the-scenes tidbit about the upcoming film regarding the reshoots that they underwent which he shared that some last-minute changes were made as mandated by Marvel.

"The Marvel guys, they make eight of these movies at the same time so they're always updating storylines," Campbell said. "So, my buddy Sam [Raimi] has had to add scenes that they told him he had to shoot, and he's removed scenes that no longer apply. So until May rolls around I don’t think Benedict Cumberbatch even knows if he’s in this movie or not."

It is not surprising to hear that Marvel mandated some changes or additions in the film since they've always done it to their projects ever since the first Iron Man film. However, it is still interesting information to learn and it makes us wonder about what changes or additions Raimi made to the film as ordered by Marvel. While we might never know the entire answer to that, it is still worth pondering about although either way it shouldn't affect our excitement with the film overall and, if any, it might make us even more curious about what they really have in store besides what they've shown so far in the trailers.

The cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. Sam Raimi directed the film while Kevin Feige serves as producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll, and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron.
