The final trailer for Doctor Sleep is here and it's offering a better look at how Danny Torrance has been following the events that took place in Stephen King's The Shining. Unfortunately, Danny has his own personal battles to fight and it could make him easy prey for the True Knot.
The trailer opens with Danny (Ewan McGregor) revisiting his past. "When I was a kid, there was a place," he says. "A dark place. They closed it down and let it rot but the things that live there, they come back."
At the present time, Danny is a complete mess who keeps dealing with dark dreams and visions. However, he manages to get his act together when he meets Abra Stone (Kyleigh Curran), a girl who has "the shining" as well. Abra is truly powerful and it doesn't take long before Rose The Hat (Rebecca Ferguson) and her cult The True Knot feel her presence. Unfortunately, it's up to Danny to save Abra, but will he manage to save the girl without being destroyed by the cult?
The trailer doesn't shy away from the scares and even teases at the epic confrontation between Rose and Danny. It ends with the True Knot finally getting their hands on Danny in their greed for the shine. Is this a vision, or is it reality? We'll find out for sure in November.
Doctor Sleep is directed by The Haunting of Hill House's Mike Flanagan and is scheduled for release on November 8.
