Besides Mitsumi and Shima, Skip and Loafer fans have paid much attention to Makoto and Yuzuki, Mitsumi’s close friends. The two have great friendship (and chemistry), causing fans to wonder if there is a chance for Makoto and Yuzuki to end up together.

Makoto and Yuzuki’s Relationship
Many fans of the seinen anime have been shipping Makoto and Yuzuki due to their small encounters.
While they do not appear to be friends before the story starts, they eventually become close as the story goes on.
Makoto is a shy type and tends to overthink things. Though she has been trying to change, and believes that joining the student council can help.
There, she meets Mitsumi and becomes friends with the protagonist.
On the other hand, Yuzuki is a beautiful girl who is considered a perfect human by her peers (which she does not agree with).
She becomes friends with Mitsumi the moment they start school. Makoto and Yuzuki then meet through Mitsumi.
As the two girls get to know each other, they learn to depend on one another. But will their friendship move to the next level?

Do Makoto and Yuzuki End Up Together?
As of writing, we cannot say for certain if Makoto and Yuzuki will end up together as there have been no confessions made by either character.
Although the two tend to “date” after everyone cancels at the last minute, it can still be considered a friendly date rather than a romantic one.
Nonetheless, many Makoto and Yuzuki shippers wait for the day that the two eventually date.
But until we get an official confirmation, fans can enjoy their moments together for now.
After all, Makoto and Yuzuki have many cute interactions, especially when Yuzuki offers to help Makoto improve her appearance.
Yuzuki is even willing to buy Makoto hair accessories and lend her her clothes.
On the other hand, Makoto is always there for Yuzuki, giving her comfort. She listens to what’s troubling Yuzuki and motivates her.
It would be great if the two end up together since Skip and Loafer creator Misaki Takamatsu seems to be open to all kinds of gender, considering that Mitsumi’s aunt is a transgender woman.
