Does Jusetsu Like Koushun in Raven of the Inner Palace?
In Raven of the Inner Palace, Jusetsu's feelings for Koushun are not fully developed.
In fact, Jusetsu is not yet at ease whenever he is present. After all, she lives alone in the inner palace, where no one except the emperor had ever set foot.
When the emperor asked Jusetsu for a personal request to find the owner of the jade earrings, they met for the first time.
He was also drawn to Jusetsu because of the mystery surrounding the Raven Consort.
Understandably, little is known about Jusetsu, which is why rumors circulated that she was an elderly woman and a dangerous witch.
Nonetheless, the emperor requests her assistance in locating the owner of the jade earrings.
While Jusetsu is resistant to such an unusual request, Koushun offered her a baozi filled with red beans and lotus seeds in exchange for her help.
Just like that, Jusetsu helped Koushun solve the mystery that surrounds the jade earrings. The emperor also figured out Jusetsu’s behavior and how to win her favor with her favorite foods.
Since then, Koushun would frequently visit Jusetsu at any time of day. Even after Jusetsu pushed him away, Koushun kept returning.
Koushun is a particularly vexing emperor for Jusetsu. She would have ignored him as much as she could if it weren't for his status and position.
Even though Koushun is the emperor, Jusetsu does not worship or respect him in the same way that any other consort or servant in the palace does.
Over time, Jusetsu becomes more at ease in the presence of the emperor, especially after he promises her that he will not have her killed no matter what.

Does Koushun Like Jusetsu in Raven of the Inner Palace?
Similar to Jusetsu, Koushun's feelings remain ambiguous in Raven of the Inner Palace.
What is certain is that Koushun prefers to be by Jusetsu's side most of the time, for reasons he is unsure of.
Koushun is initially only interested in the identity of the Raven Consort. Jusetsu was the most intriguing person in the palace at the time, aside from the Empress Dowager, who poisoned his mother and had him expelled.
Surprisingly, Jusetsu is just a cheeky, short woman with a stubborn personality.
However, things have changed since Koushun saw Jusetsu washing her silver hair in the lake.
Aside from giving the amber fish to Jusetsu as a sign of promise, he also admitted that she appeared to be a goddess from their encounter in the lake.
Furthermore, Koushun adores Jusetsu and lavishes her with gifts at every opportunity.
Koushun's love language is clearly giving gifts, from spoiling Jusetsu with her favorite sweets and foods to bequeathing her with a pair of ivory hair clips!
Aside from that, Koushun prefers to spend time with Jusetsu rather than with his consorts in the palace.
All of his actions, including his behavior, show that Koushun likes Jusetsu but is unaware of it.
Do Jusetsu and Koushun End up Together in Raven of the Inner Palace?
As of writing, Jusetsu and Koushun have yet to end up together in Raven of the Inner Palace.
Most likely, it will not happen anytime soon because the two of them will face a lot of imperial drama and mystery in the future.
Not to mention that Jusetsu made it clear to Koushun that they are very different from one another.
They're like oil and water to Jusetsu, which means they can't be together no matter what happens.

While Jusetsu is eager to fulfill her duties as the Raven Consort and live alone, Koushun has a lot on his plate at the palace.
However, there is a strong possibility that the two of them will end up together. Because of their tragic and painful pasts, they sympathize with one another, making it easier for them to understand each other.
Most importantly, their romantic tension is palpable as Koushun grows closer to Jusetsu by spending time with her and getting to know her on a daily basis.
