DJ Koo has been winning everyone’s hearts with his talent and charms – including Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu.
As a veteran disk jockey, DJ Koo has the capacity to capture everyone’s attention through his music. He famously released his studio album Koojunyup and I’m DJ Koock in 2003 and 2008, respectively. His works even reached several films and TV series, and his music made it to Dream High, April Kiss, and Kill Me, Heal Me, among others.
He recently worked with Maximite to produce the hit song Pick Me for the idol survival show, Produce 101.
After savoring his success for years as a single man, the 52-year-old officially began his new life alongside his now-wife, Barbie Hsu.

DJ Koo Marries Meteor Garden Actress Barbie Hsu
On Instagram, the veteran singer confirmed that he married the Taiwanese actress on Tuesday. He delivered the news in both Korean and Chinese, saying that he got in touch with the actress again after learning about her divorce.
“We are married. To have such a destiny with a lover from over 20 years ago - this is a love we both want to cherish and continue. When I heard the news of her divorce, I dug out her number from over 20 years ago and contacted her. Thankfully, her number has not changed and we reconnected. We have lost too much time together so I proposed marriage and Barbie finally agreed,” he wrote, as translated by The Strait Times.

Although he married her “late,” DJ Koo asked everyone for love and support as he embarked on his new journey with the actress.
Barbie Hsu also confirmed the news by reposting DJ Koo’s message. She expressed her gratitude after finding the happiness she wanted to have and the things that helped her be where she is right now.
DJ Koo and Barbie Hsu previously dated in the late 1990s after meeting at a concert in Taiwan in 1997. After a year of secretly dating, they broke up since the musician’s management disapproved of him being in a relationship.
DJ Koo’s Wife Previously Married Someone Else
DJ Koo and Barbie Hsu’s marriage came three months after announcing her divorce from Wang Xiaofei. They got married in 2011 and shared two children with him.
"After serious and careful consideration, Mr Wang and Ms Hsu have decided to divorce amicably and have begun related legal proceedings,” their lawyers said after the divorce.
Their representatives added that the two agreed to work together as parents to give their children their love and support. In the end, they decided to divide their assets.
