The highly-anticipated reboot of the Percy Jackson universe is finally heading to Disney+. Starring The Adam Project's Walker Scobell as the new Demigod Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries as the new Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhadri as the new Grover Underwood are bringing in the iconic trio. Now that the lead trio is complete, five new major additions to the cast were announced for the upcoming Rick Riordan series.

Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Jason Mantzoukas, Megan Mullally, and Timm Sharp are confirmed for a role in the upcoming Disney+ show. Virginia Kull will be playing Percy's mom Sally Jackson, Glynn Turman as Mr. Brunner, Jason Mantzoukas as Mr. Dionysus, Megan Mullally as Mrs. Dodds, and Timm Sharp as Gabe Ugliano.

And now that the cast is somehow complete, the Percy Jackson series has now officially commenced production.

It's pleasant to know that the Percy Jackson reboot is finally rounding up with the cast. However, the biggest question, for now, is who will be playing the new Poseidon? And is it Logan Lerman?

Back when the Percy Jackson series was just a rumor being developed under Disney+, fans have already started to demand former Percy Jackson actor Logan Lerman play the new Poseidon. With how both Percy Jackson's first installments Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters received unfavorable reactions from the fans, it seems like fans still wanted to give Lerman a second chance for the reboot, but now as the Greek god Poseidon.

While not much has been disclosed about the upcoming series, the official synopsis of the Percy Jackson & The Olympians series is below:

"The live-action series tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who's just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus."

For now, it's too early to guess when the Percy Jackson & The Olympians series will premiere on Disney+. But fans can expect it to release sometime in 2023 or 2024.
