Disney Set To Release Very First Trailer For Live-Action Aladdin Tonight

Yesterday, Disney dropped the very first poster teasing the studio's upcoming live-action remake of its 1992 animated musical fantasy classic, Aladdin. Now it looks like the very first trailer for the film is going to make its debut tonight.

Taking to Twitter, FOX just confirmed that Disney would be dropping the very first official footage of Aladdin during the game between the Eagles and the Giants on the channel tonight. Announcing the match between the defending champions and the NFC East rival, Fox reminded fans that "During the game, don't miss the first look at Disney's new movie, Aladdin."

There's definitely a lot of hype building up over Disney's new Aladdin. Not only will it star Mena Massoud in the title role of Aladdin, but it'll also have Power Ranger's Naomi Scott playing the part of Princess Jasmine. Meanwhile, DC Extended Universe star and Hollywood A-lister Will Smith is set to play Aladdin's Genie, the larger-than-life blue djinn tritagonist that gives Aladdin the wishes that turns the thief into something so much better.

Meanwhile, Marwan Kenzari will be taking on the role of Jafar while Navid Negahban will be playing Jasmine's father, the Sultan. Nasim Piedad is set out to become Dalia and Billy Magnussen is to take on the part of Prince Anders.

Aladdin is the latest animated Disney movie to receive a live-action remake from the Mickey Mouse House. The last film to receive some live-action treatment from the studio was Beauty and the Beast. Starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, the film went on to earn $1.26 billion at the box office.

Aladdin hits cinemas May 2019.
