Disney+ Sees Increase in Subscribers Due to Coronavirus

Since everyone has been advised to stay at home and not go out, it only makes sense that a bunch of streaming services would see their viewerships rise. Netflix was the obvious one to get a viewership bump since that is the most popular streaming service out there but its competition has also been doing well. That's right, Disney+ is also doing good and that's not much of a surprise since the public consensus seems to be Disney=good.

Forbes confirmed that Disney+ signups have seen a big increase from March 14 to March 16, claiming that the viewership tripled in only three days. That's impressive and we wouldn't be too surprised if the streaming service continues to get viewers now that people have more time. Watching The Mandalorian definitely beats going out on Spring Break and later finding out that you have COVID-19.

To be fair, cynicism aside, there is a wealth of material to check out on the Disney+ service. We have live-action shows like The Mandalorian, animation programs like X-Men: The Animated Series, and even crap from the Disney Channel. We're sure some people love rewatching the High School Musical trilogy but we don't.

If you haven't yet, it's pretty easy to sign up for the Disney+ streaming service. It will take a while before The Mandalorian Season 2 comes out but we do have The Clone Wars to keep Star Wars fans busy.
