Disney+ Rumors Claim That Hawkeye And Moon Knight Might Get Their Own Series

Disney is preparing to launching Disney+ later this year, and along with the Mickey Mouse House's new streaming site comes a slew of potential Marvel Studios series set for fans. While Marvel's Loki has been the only show confirmed by Disney President Bob Iger (the Mickey Mouse House chief executive mentioned the show during an earnings call for the company), there are quite a number of other series rumored for Disney+, including one for Scarlet Witch and Vision, presumably starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, as well as another series for Bradley Cooper's Rocket Racoon and Vin Diesel's Groot.

Now, a new report adds even more series to the list, saying that Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye could very well get his own show in Disney+ along with Marvel's Moon Knight, a character which has yet to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While these rumors first began on 4chan, various entertainment news blogs and sites like MCU Cosmic have been adding to the claims of these new shows, dropping new information about the upcoming Hawkeye series.

"Early development," the rumor states. "Pitched as a 'caper' about Hawkeye coming out of retirement to help aspiring vigilante as Kate Bishop after she gets in trouble with organized crime while using his name. Hawkeye's family would be heavily featured, and Linda Cardellini is willing to return, but Jeremy Renner is still studying his options. The Hood would be the main antagonist, with Trickshot as his enforcer."

But that's not all. The rumor also claims that Marvel is considering creating series for new properties that are unlikely to receive their own feature movies, and that includes Moon Knight and the Sentry. Marvel fans have long since been anticipating the arrival of Moon Knight in the MCU, a superhero who draws his powers from the moon and fights crime like a vigilante, much like Batman.
