Disney Reveals Star Wars: The Mandalorian’s UK Disney+ Premiere

Disney+ might have been offering Disney content to subscribers in the US for three months already, but the Mickey Mouse House has yet to extend the same kind of privilege to its fans in other countries like in the UK.

Luckily, Disney is planning to launch Disney+ in the UK next month, and according to ComicBook.com, the company has revealed the UK release date for the hit Star Wars series, The Mandalorian.

Like its premiere launch in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Netherland, Jon Favreau's hit live-action Star Wars series is going to debut along with Disney+'s launch in the UK. Disney is also planning to release the series' episodes weekly – something which might seem a little bit unfair considering the fact that the US market has already completed the entire season of the series and that all of the episodes are available in the US version of Disney+.

We can't blame Disney though if it wants to offer UK subscribers the same slow-burn experience when it released The Mandalorian episodes weekly for the US market back in November and December. Perhaps the company feels like the series will get better ratings if it replicates the show's US release.

The Mandalorian has been nothing but a success for Disney and for Star Wars. The galaxy far, far away might have been suffering from division caused by subversive films like Star Wars: The Last Jedi and pandering films like Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, however, The Mandalorian has been able to unite most of the Star Wars fanbase with its doe-eyed Baby Yoda.

Disney+ launches on March 24, 2020 in the UK.
