Disney+ Reportedly Signs Hailee Steinfeld for Kate Bishop on Hawkeye

The Disney+ Hawkeye series is something fans have been looking forward to since it's going to be based on Matt Fraction and David Aja's excellent comic book of the same name. Ever since Marvel Studios confirmed that Kate Bishop would be in the show, fans wondered who would play the Young Avenger. After multiple reports claiming that Hailee Steinfeld was in the running, with the actress herself denying those claims, new ones are claiming that she will indeed star as the character.

According to The Illuminerdi, Hailee Steinfeld is reportedly locked in for the role but fans should take it with a grain of salt. If true, this is great news since Hawkeye will reportedly start shooting this October so securing an actress to play Kate Bishop is a good move. While we're sure that the Marvel brand name is strong enough to carry any actress, Steinfeld does have plenty of fans and she could bring them over to this series.

Plenty of fans are looking forward to seeing how Clint Barton handles the post-Endgame status quo now that he has his family back, albeit with so much blood on his ledger. How he decides to take up an apprentice is going to be interesting since we all know it's not going to be his daughter, despite that small tease at the start of Endgame.

Currently, Hawkeye is slated for a 2021 release on Disney+, which isn't a huge surprise. Considering how shows like WandaVision have been delayed, we do wonder if there are plans to reschedule the show's debut.
