Disney+ Replaces Captain Marvel Marketing With Iron Man, Star Wars With Vader

It looks like Disney has just made a few changes to the way it's promoting Disney+.

For the past few weeks, Disney has been using Brie Larson's Captain Marvel to promote the Marvel portion of the upcoming Disney streaming site and then sequel trilogy actor John Boyega (Finn) to help promote the Star Wars portion.

However, now that Disney is now opening Disney+ to pre-orders, it seems like that the Mickey Mouse House has made a few changes to its promotional shield. Cosmic Book News just recently got the email-to pre-order Disney+, and according to the entertainment news outlet, Disney+ has changed a few faces in its marketing.

Now that Disney+ is a month or so away from its launch date, Disney has decided to replace Captain Marvel to Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) from its Marvel promotional banner on the site and then replace Finn with Darth Vader in the Star Wars portion of the banner.

Check it out down here:

Not only that, but Disney has also changed its algorithm on the site. A few months ago, an image was used to help promote the Captain Marvel movie on Disney+. Now, in the place that previously hosted Captain Marvel, is Jon Favreau's very first Iron Man movie.

These changes might seem a bit strange to fans, however, it seems like Disney is making a few tweaks to the promotion of Disney+, taking out association with controversial characters like Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) by removing her image in icons and in banners. Could Marvel no longer be pleased with Carol Danvers? Let's wait and see.

Disney+ launches on November 12, 2019.
