Disney Refuses to Add Deadpool and R-Rated Series to Disney+

Disney is launching Disney+ next week, and fans have been wondering whether the Mickey Mouse House would include R-Rated content like Ryan Reynold's Deadpool movies and Seth McFarlane's animated sitcom, Family Guy, in the upcoming streaming platform. After all, these titles can be considered part of Disney now that the company's completed its 21st Century Fox acquisition.

Unfortunately, it seems like Disney+ doesn't have any room for Deadpool and Family Guy.

Disney CEO Bob Iger just recently went on a long interview with Bloomberg this week to discuss Disney+ and the content being offered on the service. According to the Mickey Mouse House executive, subscribers can expect content to include Star Wars movies, Marvel movies, Disney animated movies, Disney live-action, Disney Channel content, and several films from 21st Century Fox. However, the lengthy list, Disney refuses to place R-rated content on the streaming platform.

Instead, Iger says that Deadpool and Family Guy are both going to remain in Hulu. This is probably going to be the same case for the rest of Fox's R-rated movies like Logan. Disney probably wants to keep its streaming service family friendly – an image that the Mickey Mouse House has been trying to uphold for years.

While this might disappoint Marvel fans, Disney has a slew of new series set for release on Disney+. This includes shows like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Hawkeye, Loki, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk. Marvel's preparing a lot of new series for Disney+, and according to Kevin Feige, all of these series will tie directly with the current events of the MCU.

Avengers: Endgame is available on Digital HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
