It's been nearly a week since the premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi's grand finale but diehard fans of the Star Wars franchise are still buzzing about Episode VI and understandably so. The finale saw the Jedi Master defeat Darth Vader for the second time around and it's quite obvious that the Sith Lord wants to avenge his loss to his former mentor.

Now, fans are waiting to see what's next for actors Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen now that the show is done. There have been several reports over the last couple of weeks claiming that Lucasfilm actually greenlit a second season for the hit Star Wars show but everyone involved in the project has since denied the rumors.

Now, despite all the dismissal from creative minds of the series as well as Ewan and Hayden's, it looks like Disney itself has confirmed that Season 2 is in fact in the works. Disney Plus' official banner for Obi-Wan Kenobi (via Star Wars Garrison) indicates that the show's "season" (not series) finale is now streaming on the platform, pretty much confirming that the beloved Jedi Master will return.

Well, the closing moments of Episode VI definitely hinted that there's more to come. With Darth Sidious and Qui-Gon Jinn making their respective returns, Lucasfilm would be foolish not to capitalize on all the hype their cameo appearances generated.

All episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi are available for streaming on Disney+.
