Disney Officially Confirms Rosario Dawson and Timothy Olyphant Casting in The Mandalorian Season 2

Fans have long been celebrating the fact that The Mandalorian Season 2 had added Rosario Dawson and Timothy Olyphant to its already-stellar cast. However, the casting was never actually officially confirmed by Disney+ until now. The streaming service has made it official that the Daredevil star and the Hitman actor will both appear in the second season of the Star Wars series.

It's no secret that several reliable outlets announced Dawson and Olyphant's casting in the Star Wars show. However, the reports had cited sources instead of Disney or Lucasfilm in their reports. Luckily, all that has changed, thanks to Disney+ Denmark.

The confirmation comes from the official Disney+ Denmark Instagram account, which shared an Instagram story announcing the new cast members in The Mandalorian Season 2 (via Twitter). You can check it out below.

In the story, it is confirmed that Olyphant and Dawson will be joining Sasha Banks, whose casting was revealed through the first trailer for The Mandalorian Season 2. Not surprisingly, the roles that the actors would be playing were not announced just yet. This should make sense considering that the Star Wars project is known for its secrecy but there have been speculations that Olyphant would portray Cobb Vanth while Dawson has been cast as Ahsoka Tano.

Needless to say, it's great to finally have an official confirmation from Disney+ itself. Hopefully, we'll be getting more positive updates about the show before the end of the month.

The Mandalorian Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on October 30.
