It looks like Harrison Ford fans may have to wait a little bit longer to see the grumpy old Hollywood actor put on his hat and reprise his iconic role as archeologist Indiana Jones in the swashbuckling Indiana Jones 5.

The long-rumored film which Disney confirmed last year with an expected release date of July 19, 2019 has been reportedly moved to a date a year later on July 10, 2020. The news comes directly from The Hollywood Reporter writer Borys Kit who took to Twitter to make the announcement.

While fans may be disappointed with the news, the delay is probably explained by the schedule of legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg who is set to reprise his role as the fifth installment's director. Spielberg, the helmsman who had directed all of the other four installments in the Indiana Jones film franchise, is currently working on the historical drama The Post. After that, he'll be moving on with Ready Player One and then The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara. Disney is probably giving Spielberg the time that he needs to start working on Indiana Jones 5.

Meanwhile, Disney and Lucasfilm's Han Solo, the spinoff film featuring Ford's other iconic Hollywood character, is currently in the middle of production. Though Ford is passing along the vest and the boots to Hail Caesar actor Alden Ehrenreich, many are eager to see the spin-off which releases on May 25, 2018.
