Disney Has Decided To Postpone All Of Its Upcoming TV Pilot Productions


It looks like the spread of the novel coronavirus has affected Disney's television projects as well.

According to a report by ComicBook.com, Disney has decided to put a halt on the production of all of the pilots of its upcoming series because of the fast-spreading COVID-19 pandemic. The TV arm of the Mickey Mouse House has decided to stop filming the pilots of shows like Genius: Aretha for atleast three weeks. Production on the latest season of the popular medical drama Grey's Anatomy has also been put to a halt.

That's not all. Disney has decided to put a pause on the production of the pilots of quite a number of shows, and that includes The Big Leap, The Big Sky, Adopted, The Brides, Harlem's Kitchen, Kids Matter Now, My Village, Home Economics, Ordinary Joe, Rebel, Prospect, Thirtysomething(else), Untitled Kapnek/Holland, Work Wife, Wrekcage, and Valley Trash.

That's a lot of projects, but Disney probably wants to play its part in keeping people safe now that COVID-19 is fast spreading around the globe. The Mickey Mouse House has also announced the postponement of its upcoming film productions like the one its preparing for the Little Mermaid live-action remake.

COVID-19 has become a series threat around the globe. Not only has the novel coronavirus infected more than one hundred thirty-seven thousand individuals worldwide, but it's also killed more than five thousand of those infected. The disease has caused quite some trouble, locking down entire cities and countries like Italy.

It's only right that Disney take some extra precaution to ensure the health of its employees and workers.
