Disney recently revealed the release date for the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian. While details about the series are kept under wraps, it seems like the characters' in it would potentially have their own show.

The company's priority in the next few years would be its television shows. With that in mind, Iger teased the possibility of taking The Mandalorian characters "in their own direction in terms of series" during Disney's Earnings call (via CinemaBlend).

While there's more Star Wars series to be released soon, including the Obi-Wan Kenobi series and a Rogue One prequel series, it looks like some of the fans' favorite characters would be having their own spin-offs.

There's certainly a lot of possibilities with regards to which characters will be considered for a show, perhaps even another one focused on Baby Yoda since fans certainly can't get enough of The Child.

That being said, Iger didn't guarantee that there would be spin-offs in the future, but it's definitely something that Star Wars fans would look forward to given the success and popularity of the show.

While there won't be details about a potential The Mandalorian spin-off soon, fans can look out for the show's second season which is set for release in October of 2020.
