With nothing to get in the way of Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox and its assets, the Mickey Mouse House finally announces its plans for a new structure for the company once the merger between the two is completed.
According to Cosmic Book News, Disney has just announced the new organizational structure it has planned for its media networks once the acquisition of 20th Century Fox is completed and it looks like the company has named the Fox executives who are to assume leadership roles at the Mickey Mouse House once the deal is closed.
These executives include Peter Rice who is set to take on the position of the Chairman of Walt Disney Television and Co-Chair of Disney Media Networks, Dana Walden who is set to take on the role of Disney Television Studios and ABC Entertainment's Chairman, and Jon Landgraf who is to serve as FX Networks and FX Production's Chairman.
Meanwhile, Gary E. Knell is also to take on the role of Chairman of National Geographic Partners.
"The strength of 21st Century Fox's first-class management talent has always been a compelling part of this opportunity for us," Walt Disney President Bob Iger said in a statement. "Upon completion of the acquisition, this new structure positions these proven leaders to help drive maximum value from a greatly enhanced portfolio of incredible brands and businesses."
While the announcement doesn't have any direct information about what Disney has planned for Fox's mutant properties, this new report shows how far along the acquisition is, and how certain the Mickey Mouse House is that the merger will see completion.
Of course, Marvel fans have a lot to be excited about. Earlier this month, Iger confirmed that Marvel would be taking on the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and the rest of Fox's mutant properties. The only question left is when, and how exactly will Marvel bring in the mutants to the MCU.
