Disney Allegedly Willing to Replace Ray Park as Darth Maul

Fans rejoiced when Ray Park had reprised the part of Darth Maul for Solo: A Star Wars Story, and word has it that Disney+ is looking to give Maul his own live-action series. Bad news is, Park had recently been caught in a snag of controversy, and Disney is allegedly willing to replace him as the actor of Maul.

According to LRM, Disney and Lucasfilm are allegedly moving forward with Darth Maul without Park. We don't have any official announcement yet, so for now it's best to take this as a rumor.

For anyone confused as to what happened, some very racy pictures had apparently come out on Ray Park's IG. It's still unclear what exactly happened with Park's account. Some people say that Park had been hacked, while some say that Park has had kind of a troubled history with his social media. We don't know how this will all go down, but the bottom line is, Ray Park is kind of too hot online right now, and it wouldn't make sense for Disney to suddenly announce that they're hiring him for a Maul solo series.

With some fans already eager to drop Park, some are saying that he should be replaced with Maul actor Sam Witwer. We don't know how he would exactly take over, but Witwer had already played the face of Star Wars Legends character Galen Marek. While he does have his own screen presence, we don't know if he can display the same physicality that Park can.

Hopefully this all gets cleared out soon. We still have no announcement on when Maul will appear in the canon next.
