In a report from The Disinsider, Disenchanted will be having reshoots at New York City to be added to the principal photography of the film after the movie got mixed reactions during its early test screenings. While there is no confirmation yet whether this will affect the release of the movie, the film still sits on the fall release window.

The plot of the movie remains in the shadows but it has been confirmed that Amy Adams will reprise her role as Giselle together with Patrick Dempsey as Robert Philip, Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine, and James Marsden as Prince Edward. Morgan Philip is all grown up and she will be portrayed by Gabriella Baldacchino. Villains of the film have been cast as well with Maya Rudolph, Jayma Mays, and Yvette Nicole Brown.

Enchanted follows the story of Giselle who fell from a hole that got her animated character into the live-action world in New York City. The princess-to-be found herself in the real world, experiencing what life is like a New Yorker and she met Robert Philip and his daughter, Morgan. Her prince, Edward, followed her into her new journey and it turns out the queen is evil, trying to force her into a marriage she realized she didn’t want.

How does she know you love her? Well, you can ask Giselle that as she fell in love with Robert and her prince, Edward, found love with Robert’s ex-partner, Nancy.

Disenchanted is currently in production and is still slated for release in Fall 2022. It is expected to release exclusively on Disney Plus.
