Disenchanted: Sequel to Disney's’ Enchanted’ Finally Moving Forward

Amy Adams wowed everyone when she played princess Giselle in 2007's Enchanted, and the film was such a big hit for Disney. A sequel had actually been in the works for a while, but it has been having a hard time getting off the ground. The good news is, it looks like Disney is finally ready to move forward with Disenchanted.

This comes from The DisInsider's Skyler Shuler:

Though we haven't gotten any significant updates on the movie in a while, we do have this short synopsis from the IMDb page:

Ten years after her happily ever after, Giselle questions her happiness, inadvertently turning the lives of those in the real world and Andalasia upside down in the process.

So far, the only cast member that seems to be confirmed for the film is Amy Adams, but it's likely that we could get a return from co-stars like James Marsden and Patrick Dempsey. Also with the popularity of Frozen, I bet the movie would love to have a return from Idina Menzel who played Nancy in the film; just in case you don't know, Menzel is also the voice of Disney princess, Elsa.

We don't know exactly when this update for Disenchanted will come out, but some are hoping it will be at the D23 Expo which takes place this August. With all these live-action remakes, it would be nice for Disney to come up with something that was originally made for live-action.

No release date has been set for Disenchanted.
