Diego Luna Says Cassian Will Finally Become a Rebel Spy in Andor Season 2

There is little doubt that people are expecting a lot in Andor Season 2. For instance, fans are hoping that the series will finally reveal the events leading up to what happened in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Luckily, Diego Luna assures us that we'll get to see an interesting shift for Cassian Andor. Luna just confirmed that Cassian will finally become a Rebel spy in the second season of the Disney+ show.

The first season of Andor concluded with Cassian catching up with Luthen Rael with the intention to assassinate him. However, he gives Luthen a choice: kill him or take him in. It's certainly a tease at Cassian joining the Rebellion and possibly playing an important role in the future.

So what will happen to Cassian in Andor Season 2? Diego Luna was recently present at the Lucasfilm Showcase panel at Star Wars Celebration. When speaking to Screenrant, Luna pointed out that Cassian will finally get serious about being a Rebel.

"He has to get professional about being a spy, which is a different thing than what we've seen him do," he said, pointing out that Cassian had other things to worry about in the first season.

"He's just a guy trying to survive, you know? He has some skills, but now we're gonna see the spy," Luna said.

This is an awesome confirmation considering that we have been waiting to see Cassian as a major part of the Rebellion. With that in mind, we can't wait to see Diego Luna in action in Andor Season 2.

The second season of Andor will also bring back Stellan Skarsgård as Luthen Rael and Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma. Season 2 is set to be the final one for the Star Wars series and is expected to premiere on Disney+ in August next year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
