Marvel's Agents of SHIELD might have recently come to a conclusion but its season finale teases something far bigger and exciting!
Towards the show's finale, the SHIELD agents virtually regrouped a year after their victory over the Chronicoms, each going their separate ways. As for Daisy, it was revealed that she's aboard a Zephyr 3 with Sousa and Kora, about to embark on a journey into deep outer space.
This hints very strongly that Daisy is a member of SWORD and that the trio is in an early exploit for the organization. That said, the freeze frame during Daisy's final scene shows regular SHIELD logos and no signs of SWORD on the backseats.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans got their first glimpse at SWORD in a post-credits scene from Spider-Man: Far From Home where Nick Fury was aboard a spaceship, alongside a Skrull, believed to be part of the organization.
Designed to be a space-based counterpart of SHIELD, the Sentient World Observation and Response Department in the comic book lore is a "counterterrorism and intelligence agency" that deals with extraterrestrial threats to world security.
It remains to be seen whether the two would crossover at some point in the future, but it is good to know about SWORD's involvement in both timelines.
